Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh’s frequently visited sites like the Carnegie Museum of Natural History and the Botanical Gardens speak to its history. It’s also in Pittsburgh where we see the Church of God’s university student volunteer group, ASEZ, making a splash in the industrial city. From graffiti removal and street cleanups to DIY eco-friendly events, they’re hard at work to take care of Pittsburgh and its suburbs.

In the Oakland area, near the University of Pittsburgh, ASEZ volunteers collected 42 bags of trash as part of their Reduce Crime Together initiative. They also encourage their classmates to join the efforts by raising awareness of various environmental and social matters, such as the importance of Human Rights.

Members at the Church of God in Pittsburgh are also always looking for innovative ways to study the Bible with community members. Interested in joining their next volunteer event or studying God’s teachings in the Bible? Send us a note below!
